After walking for a while, I find myself in a chaotic sport field. There were school children waiting for transport to take them back to the villages. The young ones were playing around while others were patiently waiting in the back of a bakkie for more to arrive. Since transport is so scarce and villages are far, the bakkie could only leave once it’s full. These children go to different schools and are doing different grades. The young ones knock off at school at 1pm and older ones between 2.30pm – 3.30pm. Everyone gets together between 4.00pm-5.00pm to go home.
