Visalya Chetty offers a lamp with five wicks to the deities that were on the altar. When she is done offering the lamp to all the deities, she takes it to Srila Prabhupada (the founder acarya of the ISKCON (International Society of Krsna Conscious)).The lamp signifies light and it lights up your way, removing darkness.
