TYISA NABANYE

By Wikus de Wet

Mzu Zele and 5 of his his friends live in an old ammunition bunker, Erf 81 that is situated in Tamboerskloof and belongs to the South African Defence Force.

They started an organisation called Tyisa Nabanye which is a comprehensive working model of sustainable farming and design. At this stage they consume about 80% of the food they grow in the garden and they share the surplus with members in their community.
